Thank you for your enquiry concerning speed restrictions on the M6
Junctions 7 – 8, on 21^st October 2020 between 15:08pm and 15:13pm. The
information you have requested is information we make available to the
public on a regular basis. Your request has been handled under normal
business practices and not in accordance with the Freedom of Information
Act.

 

According to our records from 14:40:16hrs the signal was set at 40mph this
was due to an incident. This speed limit remained in place until 15:15:06
when the speed limit changed to 60mph.

Please note that enforcement of speed restrictions is the responsibility
of the police. We are unable to comment on or provide you with advice
about alleged offences because information held by the police will always
take legal precedence. This response is for information only and cannot be
used in court for challenging an allegation of offending.
