Service Standards

CA Purkis made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Home Office,

Your service standard statement claims to process visa applications within 6 months;
These standards also state that if an application cannot be processed within six
months then the UKVI will write to the applicant within 12 weeks of
receiving the application to explain "what will happen next".

1. What procedures or policies are in place for applicants when the UKVI go over their six month service standard threshold to complain or find out information?
2. Where do applicants find the information needed to complain or contact the UKVI, should their application processing take longer than the 6 month threshold service standard?
3. If it is the normal complaints procedure, what service standard do the UKVI have to deal with or answer complaints sent to the Complaints Allocation Hub?

so that it is clear THIS IS FOR VISA APPLICANTS INSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM

Yours faithfully,

CA Purkis
