Jacqui Prentice made this Freedom of Information request to The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman did not have the information requested.

Dear The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman,

I refer to Final Decision 20006257 dated 05-08-2021, in which paragraph 45 states:

"When a council commissions another organisation to provide services on its behalf, it remains responsible for those services and for the actions of the organisation providing them. So, although I found fault with BFfC, I have made recommendations to the Council."

However, the decision notice does not specify what these service recommendations entailed.

In the interest of transparency, I kindly request the following information:

1. A copy of the letter or documentation issued to Reading Borough Council detailing the service improvement recommendations referenced in the decision.

2. Any evidence submitted by Reading Borough Council to demonstrate compliance with these service recommendations.

If any part of this request is unclear or requires clarification, please let me know so that I can refine it to assist your response.

Thank you for your attention to this request. I look forward to your reply within the statutory timeframe.

Yours faithfully,

Jacqui Prentice
