Service Families Accommodation Charges

The request was refused by Ministry of Defence.

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please provide electronic copies of all internal or interdepartmental papers written within the last 5 years which relate to:

1. Any proposals to increase Service Families Accommodation (SFA) charges by a significant amount (for the avoidance of doubt, I am referring to a proposed increase which would exceed inflation significantly).

2. Any proposals to significantly reduce or constrain Service personnel's entitlement to SFA in any respect.

Please also provide any emails on these matters that have been written, replied to or forwarded by management of the rank of OF-5 or higher (including civil servants) within the department.

If it is clear that such work is being conducted either partly or entirely by another governmental body, then the request should be forwarded to that body in addition to being processed by the MOD, and a reply made to that effect.

If the above request does not fall within the allowable cost of a FOI request, then I ask that the request for papers take precedence and then the request for emails be processed insofar as is possible while allowing the entire request to remain within the allowable cost.

Many thanks for your time,

Laura Owens

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Can I remind you that you have a statutory duty to respond to my Freedom of Information request. I should have received the response over a fortnight ago. If there are problems in gathering the information, it would have been courteous to have explained this.

Thank you,

Laura Owens

In addition our server logs confirm each message has been delivered to the MoD's email server and a:

Im very keen to see where your request goes! The mailbox 'Pers Trg-Sec-FOI Mailbox' that you are emailing as far as i can see does not exsist anymore.

I am looking from within the MOD email directory.

Good luck and i hope this helps in some way.
