Number of resident homes owned by the Council: 33,955

Percentage owned by leaseholders: 29.7%

 

Please state the method of apportioning service charges - whether by
number of units, square footage, rateable value or by any other method
for:

 

1. General service charges

2. Major works

 

If there are different methods used please specify which method applies to
which estate.

 

Service charges for both day to day charges and major works are
apportioned by way of a rateable value as per the terms of the lease
agreement. Rateable value are calculated depending on the size of a
property, square footage. The larger the property the larger the rateable
value.
