As you will be aware from our previous correspondence, we have split your original Freedom of Information request into two separate enquiries, as one part of the request relates to a series of historical records held by The National Archives and the other to corporate information about our organisation.

The RG 36 series of the Family records section has been accessible as a digitised records series at The National Archives since 28 September 2009, as part of the non-conformist Birth Marriage and Death Licensed Internet Associateship package which was awarded to S&N Genealogy Supplies following a competitive process in 2007. Previously the records were only viewable on microfilm.
The full Birth Marriage and Death package comprises the following records:

Bdmregisters.co.uk was officially launched at The National Archives on 14th September 2007 with the release of the RG 4 and RG 5 records online, with subsequent series being loaded over the next two years culminating in the full collection of series being available online in December 2009.
