Dear Ms Catriona Dalrymple,Head of Policy
Please could I have advice and assistance under s 15.
Under s25 it states that the applicant must be able to reasonably obtain the information.
Why do you assess the obtainability as "reasonable" when this will entail journeys of several hundred miles, as oppose to you publishing the information as minimal cost to you? Publising it, it will be available to me easily and to any others who wish to see it, especially if you publish it on your website?
Exemptions are not compulsory and so choosing an exemption would appear to be hiding the document.
Furthermore it does not appear to within the spirit of the Scottish Governments 6 principles on FOI as an essential part of open and democratic government nor does this exemption appear to protect "private space" for Ministers and others to consider advice and reach decisions.
Yours sincerely,
rebecca hemsley
