Dear Mrs Leadbeater,
Thank you for replying to my further FOI request. As you have stated 'all papers marked by staff employed specifically for this purpose', presumably that means then that none of those markers were recruited from the other groups I have asked about (teachers, teaching support staff, other support staff, parents/carers/guardians, private tutors)? To save me taking up your time with further, unnecessary, FOI request/s in the future, it would be really helpful if you could just indicate now from which group these 'other' markers were recruited from - recruitment agency, or general public, for example? If the markers weren't known to you already (apart from the teachers that were seconded to mark the 'continuous writing' papers) then I am assuming you will undoubtedly have kept a clerical record of the recruitment process/es followed?
Thank you in anticipation -
Yours sincerely,
H. Coley
Dear Ms Coley
I refer to your email dated 17 May 2019 regarding the responses to your
previous Freedom of Information Request, and I can confirm that your
understanding is correct - the school seconded teachers to the CSSE to
mark the continuous writing paper. The CSSE make and oversee the practical
arrangements for marking the continuous writing paper.
In terms of your query regarding the markers of the test papers, the
majority are, or have previously been, teachers (not currently employed at
this school). One person was previously a member of the school's Support
Staff and another was previously an education consultant. One person who
marked papers is a parent of a child in the school.
Yours sincerely
