Sensory occupational therapy for autism.
Dear Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust,
Please can you explain to me why occupational therapy in Nottinghamshire is not commissioned to undertake sensory assessments.
Please can you explain how this complies with the recommendations in the NICE guidelines 1.1.4 of the autism team having access to an occupational therapist and 1.5.8 to consider which assessments are needed to construct a profile for each child/young person.
Please explain how you meet these requirements when you do not commission occupational therapy assessments for sensory needs.
Yours faithfully,
Karen Calladine
