Dear Haringey Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Haringey Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Sending bailiffs to enforce tax council tax against council tax reduction scheme claimants'.

It is vital that this question is answered In the interests of the health and well being of low income vulnerable men, women and children in the London Borough of Haringey.

How many times did you send the bailiffs to collect council tax from council tax reduction scheme claimants between the 1st April 2016 and the 30th March 2017 who;

a) had one dependent aged under one
b) with dependents age 5 and under
c) with dependents aged under 16
d) with more than 3 dependents
e) were single parents with dependent children
f) were single adults living alone
g) The total number of times between the 1st April 2016 and the 30th March 2017

Haringey Council has recently asked the Money Advice Trust to advise about the enforcement of council tax arrears against vulnerable working aged households, whose low incomes the council has taxed since April 2013.

From the failure of the council to answer to this question it has become clear that you do not keep the records needed to identify the vulnerable households you say you want to help.

I am now asking the council to undertake the necessary work needed to answer the above question, in the public interest of protecting the health and well being of the low income vulnerable households listed from the draconian enforcement of the bailiffs and the addition of their high fees and the court costs to the arrears.

If you intend refusing to provide the answers then please advise without delay so I can refer the matter to the Information Commissioner to whom, together with the Money Advice Trust, I am copying this request .

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...

Yours faithfully,

Rev Paul Nicolson
