SEND Strategic Improvement and Assurance Board
Dear Oxfordshire County Council,
The Council established the SEND Strategic Improvement and Assurance Board (The Board) as required by the Department of Education’s Improvement Notice.
I request that the following information concerning the Board is made available:
(i) The terms of reference of the Board, including any amendments to this made during the Board's existence.
(ii) For each meeting of the Board details of members present and details of others in attendance.
(iii) For each meeting of the Board details of any votes that were taken.
(iv) A list of actions agreed at each Board meeting along with those responsible for each action, and subsequent reports of progress and completion of the actions.
(v) Any quantified data being tracked by the Board to evidence impact of actions taken along with any specific targets that have been set.
(vi) For each meeting of the Board any risk register that was provided along with plans to mitigate those risks.

Dear Oxfordshire County Council,
I am writing to follow up on Oxfordshire County Council's response to my FOI request 'SEND Strategic Improvement and Assurance Board' submitted on 17th October 2024 (Your Reference: 24296 FOI).
The response letter from Louise Tustian (Director of Transformation, Digital and Customer Experience), and Ranvir Aujla (Transformation Programme Manager, Children Education & Families Directorate) claims that there was no meeting of the SEND Strategic Improvement and Assurance Board in July 2024. However, there is strong evidence that the Board did meet on 24th July 2024. Item 2 of the minutes from the September meeting of the Board makes the clear statement that "The minutes of the meeting held on 24 July 2024 were approved as a correct record." Furthermore the Chair of the Board, Steve Crocker, has issued a blog about this specific meeting of the Board on 24th July. (https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/residents...)
I am writing to request an immediate internal review of Oxfordshire County Council's handling of my FOI request with specific reference to the realse of documents realting to the Board meeting on 24th July 2024.

Dear Angus Wilkinson
I wanted to update you on the matter raised in relation to the meeting
minutes which stated that there were minutes from SIAB in July.
An internal investigation has shown that this was in fact incorrect as the
meeting in July was the six-monthly Department for Education stocktake,
and not an SIAB meeting, which has now been corrected in our records.
I hope this clarifies your question.
