I would like to advise that under the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
Trafford Council has a duty to supply any information on request, unless
there is an exemption. In this instance, the following absolute exemption
applies to some of the information you have requested, and thus because
the individual totals to these questions would be less than 5 it is
therefore potentially possible to identify the relevant child/ young
person. Where this is the case the figure will be shown as  <5

Section 40(2)- The information constitutes personal data of which the
applicant is not the data subject and releasing the information would
breach the principles of the Data Protection Act 2018– we cannot disclose
all of the information to you because we believe it would be possible to
identify individuals and this would be a breach of the Data Protection
Act.

2.       How many of the children excluded from school in Trafford were
receiving special educational needs and disabilities support in 2019, 2018
and 2017?
Schools determine this.

3.       How many of the children excluded from school in Trafford were
not receiving special educational needs and disabilities support in 2019,
2018 and 2017?
We wouldn’t hold the data of whether they were or were not in receipt of
SEN support – school’s data.

4.       How many of the children excluded from school in Trafford had an
Education, Health and Care Plan in 2019, 2018 and 2017?

The information has been provided based on the details we have recorded,
however recording processes have changed and the information should be
taken as approximate figures and not exact as we cannot guarantee this.
The figures relate to both fixed term and permanent exclusions.
