Dear Mr Vernon,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request in relation to Antrim
Road APC, that Belfast City Council received on 17^th February. I can
confirm that the council holds the information that you have requested. It
has been decided that this information can be disclosed; and accordingly
it is provided below

 

               

You asked:

 

1.  When was this toilet purchased

It was purchased on the 22nd June 2007

 

2.  What was the cost of the toilet

Supply and install cost £88500.

 

 

3.  What was the cost of installation

As above

 

4.  Cost per year to maintain the toilet.

The current maintenance cost is £14511.46 for all public toilets in
Belfast, this APC is maintained within this contract

 

 

5.  How many incidents of vandalism since installed

There have been 15 vandal attacks on the unit of an internally reportable
nature (ie with parts costs) and another 27 incidents that were low level
vandalism such as graffiti (with no cost of parts).

 

6.  Revenue taken from this toilet pot for each year.

The revenue taken from this toilet is £400.00.

 

If you are dissatisfied with how the Council handled your request for
information, you have the right to request that the Council formally
review this decision. If you do wish to do so, please write to the Records
Manager, Chief Executive’s Department, City Hall, Belfast, BT1 5GS

 

Should you remain dissatisfied following the councils internal review, you
could seek an independent review from the Information Commissioner.
Requests for an independent review should be made in writing to: The
Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire,
SK9 5AF. However I would advise that the Information Commissioner has
indicated that a review will not be undertaken unless the Council has
first had an opportunity to re-consider its decision.
