Selector's Score Statistics for A100 Medicine
Dear University of Edinburgh,
I am writing to request some information concerning the A100 Medicine course. All data requested is concerning RUK applicants in years of entry 2016, 2017, and 2018. Please could the year be clearly associated with the statistics.
Please could you provide:
1) The number of applicants offering each number of points from 34 to 40 out of 40 points for the selector's score
2) The lowest selector's score (not including applicants with special considerations or reduced offers due to contextual information) for which an applicant was given an offer
3) Whether additional A*s or UKCAT points above the requirements for maximum number of points on the selector's score are used to decide between applicants. Is the selector's score the sole decider?
4) The number of applicants gaining each score, 1 - 6, on the personal statement and reference
5) The number of applicants applying with maximum points (34) for academia, the UKCAT, and the SJT
In the event that fully responding to these questions is beyond what is legally required by the university, please prioritise 2017-2018 results and points 1 and 2. I look forward to receiving your response as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Susan Wilson

Dear Records Management,
I would like to thank you for your reply to my request: it has proved very useful. However, one section was misinterpreted: when I requested the number of applicants with full UKCAT, academic, and SJT points, I meant in combination - ie, the number of applicants applying with 34 points out of 40 before the personal scoring section was assessed. I apologise if this was unclear: I assumed that the 'and' would explain my intention! If I could please have this information as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for your time and promptness.
Yours sincerely,
Susan Wilson
