Dear Dr Kaihsu Tai
Information Request
Further to your email of 14 September 2009 in which you requested
information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the
selection procedure for non-executive directors, we are pleased to be able
to provide you with the information you requested.
Would you please provide the selection procedure for
(associate)non-executive directors of the Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust,
and the dates for the last and the next rounds of selection?
Primary Care Trusts can decide to appoint Associate Non-Executive
Directors at any time in order to meet the demands of business.
Oxfordshire PCT decided to appoint two in April 2009. The appointments
process takes place locally and was based on NHS Appointments Commission
procedures. The two appointments made commenced on 1 April 2009 and will
continue for a period of 12 months, with a review after 9 months,
dependent upon development of this organisation and mutual agreement for
the future. There are currently no plans for further appointments.
We do hope you find this information useful, but if you have any further
queries then please contact us at the above address.
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision,
you should write to the: Deputy Director, Head of Quality and Clinical
Standards, Oxfordshire PCT, Jubilee House, 5510 John Smith Drive, Oxford
Business Park South, Oxford, OX2 2LH.
If you are not content with the outcome your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the
ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints
procedure.
The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: The Information
Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
5AF.
Yours sincerely
Jane Maddick
