Kent's first Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) will be elected by
residents on the 15 November this year. The successfully elected candidate
will take up office on the 22 November. As of this date Kent Police

The Kent Police Authority no longer exists.  This response is sent from
the Kent Police & Crime Commissioner's Office.

 

Dear Sir or Madam,

 

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request dated 06 November 2012.

 

In response to your questions, the Home Office maintains a national list
of suitably qualified individuals for this role, as it does for the Chairs
of Police Appeal Tribunal.  This list is given to Authorities (now
Commissioners' offices) for us to choose someone who is available.

Should you have any more questions about how the people are selected to be
on the maintained list, you will have to contact the Home Office directly.
 
We are prohibited from providing you with any of the individuals' names or
addresses under the Data Protection Act.
