Dear Mr Golden,
Your request was received on 21 August 2020 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’).
You asked:
It would be most appreciated if you could provide the following LLM admissions statistics for the
2019/2020 academic year:
-A list of grade-conditions attached to each conditional offer made to an applicant with a UK
undergraduate degree. For example, “achieve a minimum average of 65%”.
-Number of applicants who achieved a UK first-class honours degree prior to enrolling on the
LLM
-Number of applicants who achieved a UK upper second-class honours degrees prior to
enrolling on the LLM
-Average percentage grade (Eg. 67%) of enrollees’ UK undergraduate degrees, prior to
enrolling on the LLM
-Median percentage grade (Eg. 67%) of enrollees’ UK undergraduate degrees, prior to enrolling
on the LLM
- Top 25th percentile percentage grade (Eg. 67%) of enrollees’ UK undergraduate degrees,
prior to enrolling on the LLM
- Bottom 25th percentile percentage grade (Eg. 67%) of enrollees’ UK undergraduate degrees,
prior to enrolling on the LLM
With regard to your first question, we do not hold a list of ‘grade-conditions’. The University’s minimum
for LLM is that applicants should have achieved a First class UK Honours Degree or equivalent from an
overseas institution.

We are unable to supply answers to the other questions in the form requested because this does not
correlate to the data that we hold (many applicants have multiple previous qualifications). We instead
attach a list of all 2019/20 offer-holders’ previous qualifications (these are self-reported).

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to make a
complaint or request an internal review of this decision, you should contact us quoting the reference
number above. The University would normally expect to receive your request for an internal review
within 40 working days of the date of this letter and reserves the right not to review a decision where
there has been undue delay in raising a complaint. If you are not content with the outcome of your
review, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the
Information Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints
procedure provided by the University. The Information Commissioner may be contacted at: The
