Have all Security Personnel undergone an enhanced DBS check '?

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) requires a standard DBS check for
the licencing of Officers – but their system is linked to the Police
National Computer to be alerted if a licenced Officer is convicted at any
time, and their licence would be suspended.

to your request, F21-5636, sent 20/07/2021.

Please see below your request underlined and in italics, the Trust’s

Have all Security Personnel undergone an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and
Barring Service) check?

The Trust has contracted Security Officers from Mitie (for the John
Radcliffe, Churchill, Horton General Hospitals) and from G4S (for the
Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (under Private Finance Initiative (PFI)).

It is a legal requirement that all contracted Officers are SIA licenced.
It is also a requirement of the SIA licence that they are DBS checked.

Yes. The Trust checks that the Officers are licenced. It is a requirement
of the contract that our contractors have entered into. We receive
assurance that all the licences are in place.

It is a legal requirement for all Officers to carry and make their SIA
licence visible. Therefore, all the Officers working on Trust sites have
been DBS checked.
