Dear Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company,

I would like to see all communication(including meeting minutes, emails to suppliers and internal emails) relating to security issues in and updates to the Translink mlink application. I believe the relevant dates are from 20th January 2012 onwards.

Please consider this a request under the Freedom of Information act. I look forward to hearing back from you in the allotted time frame.

Dear Mr. Whittaker,


Further to my earlier brief acknowledgement, I am now in a position to
respond formally to your requests under the Freedom of Information Act


We have considered your requests and have taken the decision not to
release the information you seek.  We claim exemption under Section 43
'Commercial Interests', specifically we consider that disclosure of this
information would:


o Be likely to prejudice the commercial interests of this organisation
and that of suppliers involved with this project;
o Be liable to cause real (or significant) harm if disclosed to a
o Damage Translink's and / or its supplier’s business reputation or the
confidence that customers, suppliers or investors may have in it; and
o Have a detrimental impact on Translink's and / or its supplier’s
commercial revenue or threaten its ability to obtain supplies or
secure finance.


I regret that on this occasion we are unable to agree to your requests. 
If you are not satisfied with this reply you may complain to the Translink
Commercial & Services Director, who has overall responsibility for Freedom
of Information and Data Protection issues within the Northern Ireland
Transport Holding Company/Translink organisation.  Correspondence should

If we are then unable to resolve any complaint that you may have, you may
refer the matter to the Information Commissioner who will make an
