Dear Lancashire Constabulary,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Lancashire Constabulary's handling of my FOI request 'Security briefing to the organisers of the Ladies Open Golf 2018 at Royal Lytham Golf Club.'.

I understand why my questions regarding the issue of whether anti-fracking movement actions were expected may possibly provide information of use to real domestic terrorist groups.

However please consider answering my question relating to whether allegations of disruption having been carried out previously in the UK by environmental protectors at sporting events were made in discussion with the tournament organisation?

Also please consider answering my question regarding any anticipated hazard to the tournament from side effects of the fracking site, maybe airborne toxic chemicals or seismic activity?

Also please consider answering my question regarding how much money was paid by the tournament organisation to Lancashire Constabulary for security services during the tournament and what incidents were dealt with by Lancashire Constabulary at the tournament?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...

Yours faithfully,

peter k. roberts.

As of today, Thursday, 17th January, 2019, no progress with my request for an internal review of the handling of my freedom of information request.
Any ideas if this delay is normal for Lancashire Constabulary please?

I have asked Mr. Grunshaw the Lancashire Constabulary Police Commissioner to pursue this matter as it is a matter of public confidence in the integrity of Lancashire Constabulary at the highest level.

Have asked Police Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw to look into this matter.

My internal review by Lancashire Constabulary into this matter has been completed and the outcomes are that no discussion about possible collateral damage from the drilling and fracking activities of Cuadrilla at Preston New Road, Little Westby took place but there was a total refusal to answer my questions regarding security briefings against disruption by climate activists and anti-fracking demonstrators.
I am taking this up with the Information Commissioner having come this far, 7 months from start to finish as yet.

Dear Information assurance unit,

Having re-read the decision from the Internal Review I am now withdrawing this request.

There is plenty of new information available elsewhere for me to consider and draw my own conclusions.

Thank you for your attention. The swarms of earthquakes and seismic activity caused by Cuadrilla prove our concerns about fracking were well founded and the public awareness we raised by out peaceful protest activities have done their job.

Yours sincerely,

peter k. roberts.
