Security Policy and Operations

Clarissa Waldron

Dear [[email address]] on behalf of Mr Simon Skerritt,

To clarify your queries:

With reference to Question 1, the nature of “breaches of security” in this instance means physical breaches by unauthorised persons, as well as technological breaches to include computer hacking or infiltration of systems.

With regard to Question 2, that is correct. If you could release information pertaining to Army, Navy or RAF bases within the M25.

In relation to Question 2 again, I am seeking information in relation to terrorism that is believed to have targeted London due to the presence of the Olympic Games, not specifically the Games' venues, but to include public transport, tourist attractions and any other main hubs of activity as well.

In relation to: “prevented (but not publicised)” - I mean any terrorist persons/groups who were discovered, and their intentions or plans for terrorism activities prevented, due to authoritative force, research and intervention. I am also seeking cases such as these that were not announced by security services or the media in the attempt to quell public panic at such a busy time in London.

I hope this has clarified everything for you.

Yours sincerely,

Clarissa Waldron
