Sefton Council will provide restricted services only throughout Christmas
and New Year - as most staff are required to take unpaid leave as part of
a series of cost-saving measures. Because of unpaid leave to be taken on
December 24, 27, 28 and 31 most council buildings will be closed,
contributing to significant savings. Information on many services,
including checking bin collections, applying for licenses, reporting
environmental issues or paying council tax and business rates, can still
be accessed on the council website 24-hours a day via www.sefton.gov.uk An
automated phone service on 0345 140 0845 will be in place from December 22
