Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Metropolitan Police Service (MPS)'s handling of my FOI request 'section 34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014'.

I have received the s34 Order from the City of London police - https://ibb.co/419pKZ1.

The Order says that other boroughs have orders in place, can you double check that you did not issue any orders for that day, 26 November 2023? I thought that there might be ones for Westminster or Camden?

Thanks very much.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...

Yours faithfully,

Edward Williams

Dear Cyclops on behalf of Yvette Taylor,

It is important to be SURE that MPS did not issue any s34 orders for that day, it may effect the criminal trial set down for 20 April at Westminster City Mags.

Yours sincerely,

Edward Williams

Dear Cyclops on behalf of Yvette Taylor,

01/FOI/24/036679

Inspector Steve Parker-Phipps, responsible for policing certain aspects of the protest, imposed a Section 35 order under the Crime and Policing Act 2014 when he thought a 鈥渞ight-wing group鈥 could potentially be attending, the trial at Westminster Magistrates鈥 Court heard.

The court heard Inspector Parker-Phipps, whose laptop battery was 鈥渄ying鈥, put the order in place at 10am on November 26, but accidentally dated the form for November 24.

Why did you not disclose the the 10AM order?

Yours sincerely,

Edward Williams

Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),

when you release the information, I want a full audit of the history on your database. It seems that your officer issued an order or tried to, and then went in and backdated the time. It seems Mr Lennon was arrested at 1pm the order was issued at 2pm and then backdated. This was his evidence under oath, apparently. If so, this was an improper act.

I want all the various versions of the order, the entire entry on the system. If MPS interferes with the data I will report this as an offence to the ICO.

7 Offence of altering etc. records with intent to prevent disclosure.

(1)Where鈥

(a)a request for information has been made to a public authority, and

(b)under section 1 of this Act the applicant would have been entitled (subject to payment of any fee) to communication of any information in accordance with that section,

any person to whom this subsection applies is guilty of an offence if he alters, defaces, blocks, erases, destroys or conceals any record held by the public authority, with the intention of preventing the disclosure by that authority of all, or any part, of the information to the communication of which the applicant would have been entitled.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),

Thanks, please ensure that there is a full 'audit' showing all activity on the computer system.

It seems as if there was an attempt to pervert the course of justice or misconduct in public office.

It is in the public interest that we know what happened. You need to explain why told me you held no information. You should include a full list of all searches. The matter will then go to the ICO for their records.

Please expedite the internal review letter. Thanks.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Williams

MO6 has confirmed that nothing has been redacted from the bottom of page 1. The gap is due to the formatting of the form. It's just a matter of the way the form shifts when the text boxes are completed and then it goes over to the following page.

Yours Sincerely,
