Section 22 inquiries and committees of the Commission.

The request was successful.

Dear Northern Ireland Audit Office,

1. Please release the all audit reports, internal or external, that refer to section 22 inquiries and committees of the Commission.
These are requested because the Commission in correspondence to the legislative assembly, have asserted that;

“internal audit has confirmed that statutory inquiries they have reviewed have been properly authorised. Documentation approving the opening of the statutory inquiry by commissioners exists in each case. A quorum of commissioners is not required to institute a statutory inquiry”

2. Have the NIAO approved the process to approve section 22 Inquiries, and reviewed the minutes and structure including the formation of the section 22 committees?

3. Please publish the outcomes of any audit inquiry of the CCNI Section 22 committees. Please include the advice given to the CCNI that a quorum of the board of commissioners did not need a quorum, in contravention of the Companies Act 2006 and the Charities Act 2008

Yours faithfully,

Trevor McKee

Dear info (NIAO),

I think I need to clarify my point 3 as follows;

3. Please publish the outcomes of any audit inquiry of the CCNI Section 22 committees. Please include (if any) the advice given to the CCNI, that a quorum of the board of commissioners was not required to authorise a section 22 inquiry.

Yours sincerely,
