Section 106 contributions over past five years

Anthony Lewis made this Freedom of Information request to Bridgend County Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

We're waiting for Anthony Lewis to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Bridgend County Borough Council,

Hello,

I'd like to make a freedom of information request which relates to the amount of money the council has received from housing developers in the county borough in section 106 contributions over the past five years.

I'd also like to know how much of the section 106 money went on improvements to Public Open Space, Affordable Housing, Education, Highways and town centre improvements which I believe are some of the contributions developers can make.

I would also like to know what specific areas of the county borough have benefited from section 106 funding by street name or building if possible. It would be great if I could get this information in the next couple of weeks.

Yours faithfully,

Anthony

Dear Sir/Madam

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST X04-143

We refer to your email dated 2 May 2018 which contained a request for
information as set out in italics below.  Following consideration of your
request, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I respond
to each point as follows:

I'd like to make a freedom of information request which relates to the
amount of money the council has received from housing developers in the
county borough in section 106 contributions over the past five years.

The total amount received from developers since 1st January 2013 (last 5
years): £6,581,816.31

I'd also like to know how much of the section 106 money went on
improvements to Public Open Space, Affordable Housing, Education, Highways
and town centre improvements which I believe are some of the contributions
developers can make.

The breakdown to show the types of contributions is provided below:-

Public Open Space: £253,485.30

Affordable Housing: £500,787

Education:£5,515,302.65

Highways: £202,805.13

Other: £109,436.23

I would also like to know what specific areas of the county borough have
benefited from section 106 funding by street name or building if possible.
It would be great if I could get this information in the next couple of
weeks.

The Council does not hold the requested information on this format and the
Planning Department have advised that it is not possible to sub-divide the
figure into the specific areas of the borough that have benefited from
funding by street name or building.

the handling of the request, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 you
