Second request for evidence from Professor Whitty in support of his recent select committee appearance statement

Bob Parkinson made this Freedom of Information request to Department of Health and Social Care

Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department of Health and Social Care,

The following email was sent directly to Professor Whitty, Chief Medical Officer on 10 March 2021. No response has been forthcoming.

I therefore make a formal request for a response via DHSC under the FoI Act.

Dear Professor Whitty,

As a private citizen and with no affiliation I would be most interested if you could supply me with supporting information with regards to some of your remarks made at the above Committee.

Of specific interest are the remarks which you made referring to a further surge later in the year affecting/affected by non vaccinated cohorts

In particular,

Which model/models were you referring to?

What assumptions were used and what were the resulting ranges?

What are the cohorts you refer to and their characteristics/parameters as used in the modelling?

It would be most helpful if you could forward electronically the supporting papers/reports

Kind Regards,

Dr Bob Parkinson

Yours faithfully,

Bob Parkinson

Dear Department of Health and Social Care,

My request for this information is long overdue in accordance with FoI Act time limits.

I am therefore seeking an internal review of this lack of response.

Yours faithfully,

Bob Parkinson

Dear FreedomofInformation,

This is the second request I have made re this subject: the first having been completely ignored.

This second request is well overdue as you are well aware.

I think it would be courteous in the circumstances to at least give an indicative date as to when your response will be forthcoming

Yours sincerely,

Dear Department of Health and Social Care,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department of Health and Social Care's handling of my FOI request 'Second request for evidence from Professor Whitty in support of his "recent" select committee appearance statement'.

It is nearing a year since the request was first made and to paraphrase the response essentially is to " go find the information yourself .It's out there somewhere in the Government records."

I am totally dissatisfied by what can only be viewed as clear obfuscation and contempt for my Citizens Rights as enshrined in the FoI Act. This is not what I expect as acceptable behaviour of Public Servants whose duties include the effective performance of the Act to improve transparency and Citizen confidence in Government and Public Service.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Bob Parkinson
