Dear Bristol City Council,

I am writing to ask information pertaining to search and rescue operations in and around the Avon Gorge, mainly those near the Clifton Suspension Bridge for suicide victims.

I would like to ask whether the Council is responsible for funding these operations and, if so, how much is spent per year on emergency vehicles and emergency response staff for these situations.

Yours faithfully,

Jamie Nugent
