Why did Mr. Acton ask for the information to be sent to him privately? By law FOI requests and the requested information can be placed in the public domain. He might as well have sent his FOI request by E Mail rather than by this site.

The information was not send privately and was published on this website. I was asked to provide a postal address, so I asked for an email address and exchanged it in order to keep my personal details private.

Many Thanks,

Oscar Acton

Thanks for clarifying - sorry, I missed the postal address reference. Note that you have to provide contact information and your real name. Contact information is covered by the E mail addresses auto generated by the what do they know website. You don't have to provide a postal address. Trying to send the information by post is inefficient and sometimes tried on by public bodies that want to try and keep their responses out of the public domain.
