Seagull incidents and costs
Hello,
I am writing to request information relating to seagulls /gulls in your local area, please can you supply:
1. How many complaints involving seagulls/gulls did the council receive in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022*
2. How many incidents involved a seagull/gull attacking an individual or pet in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022*
3. How much was spent on seagull/gull management in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022**?
4. Please give a brief description of the measures taken relevant to question 3.
5. Does your local authority have a specific fine regime related to gulls?. If so, please give a breakdown of fines given for feeding gulls in the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022?
*For 2022, give the latest data at the point of reply
**If easier, please feel free to supply with financial years if easier.

Dear Benjamin Butcher,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information Request. Maldon District Council is making decisions each day to balance the needs to maintain essential services and support those in most need, whilst following public health guidance to protect the public and staff against infection from Coronavirus (COVID-19). Due to the unprecedented circumstances we are facing during the pandemic, it may not be possible for us to meet our usual standard of response to Freedom of Information Requests or within the timescales stipulated. The Council will respond to your request as soon as we are able.Thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult and unprecedented period. The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) has also published information on their website www.ico.org.uk.

Thank you for your FOI request. Please be advised there are no Sea Gull
incidents to report in the time frames you gave and no fines or other have
been issued in respect of sea gull incidents
If you are not satisfied with our response to your request, please let us
know. If we are unable to resolve the matter quickly then you may wish to
pursue this through the Councils complaints procedure and request an
internal review of the decision. A request for an internal review must be
submitted within two months of receiving our response to your request.
Complaints should be made in writing to the Council at Princes Road,
