Seaborne legal costs
Dear Department for Transport,
Seaborne Freight was awarded the £13.8m contract in December to run a freight service between Ramsgate and Ostend, Belgium, in the event that Britain leaves the EU without a deal.
It was confirmed this month the contract had been scrapped.
From the moment when this contract was put up for tender, to the moment the contract with Seaborne was cancelled:
How much does DoT estimate has been spent in legal costs? (please specify both external and internal legal costs)
Which external law firms have been engaged to advise on this contract?
How many in-house government lawyers have been assigned to working on this contract?
Yours faithfully,
John Hyde
