I would like ask the Perm Sec, CDP, HR-D what progress the MOD has made in promoting or re recruiting BAME staff into the SCS in the last year? How many BAME staff got sifted in, got called to an interview and than actually got an SCS post in the last year ?
How does this compare to SCS posts given to white colleagues?
How many BAME SCS are there in the MOD compared to white colleagues both male and female?
How many BAME SCS are assessed as high potential?
What steps are being taken to increase numbers and why has no progress being made?
What steps are being taken to support BAME to reach SCS?
How many BAME staff have been identified to reach SCS?
How does the MOD compare to the FCO, Cabinet Office, Home Office and Treasury. The latter even have SofS and Chancellor who are BAME!
How many BAME are on your Board?
Most staff feel seniors including the people area are just providing lip service and my previous FOIs on the matter shows that no progress is being made despite policy and strategies being developed. Also those who are developing them dont believe progress is being made.
