Dear FOI Responses,

Thank you for your reply. Hartlepool's drinking water contains 1.3mg/litre fluoride naturally so the Borough would not be involved in Water Fluoridation since you have more than the 'optimum' concentration in your water supply. I was simply interested to know if the issue had ever been discussed by any relevant Committees. I rather think that it has not so that's the end to this FoI request.

Yours sincerely,

Joy Warren

Dear FOI Responses,

Thank you for your reply. Since Hartlepool's drinking water contains 1.3mg fluoride/litre it was hardly likely that there would have been any discussion about water fluoridation. However, it might have been that a committee could have put the issue on the agenda because all local councils in the North East are being targetted for fluoridation and a member of Hartlepool Council could have been invited to attend the workshop at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland in order to provide background on Hartlepool's status as a naturally fluoridated Borough.

Yours sincerely,

Joy Warren
