Dear Ms Thomson,
Thank you for your request for information from the University of Dundee.
Colleagues provide data in response to your questions below. You will
notice we have obfuscated some of the data, we have done this to reduce
the risk of the inadvertent identification of individuals and the
inappropriate release of personal data. As I am sure you will appreciate
our rationale, I have omitted an explanation per S.16 and S.38 of FoI(S)A
from this email for brevity. However, please do let me know if you require
that for your records.
Please note that ‘Undergraduate degree’ has been categorised as a
full-time, undergraduate degree that has been completed on-campus.
1) How many students were admitted to your institution to begin studying
an undergraduate degree in each of the last 6 academic years?
2) How many Scottish domiciled students were admitted to your institution
to study an undergraduate degree in each of the last six academic years? I
would like this information broken down by degree programme.
(Please note: this is different to Scottish fee status)
3) How many Scottish domiciled students from ‘Scotland’s most deprived
backgrounds’ as defined by the Scottish Government’s widening access
policy were admitted to your institution to study an undergraduate degree
in each of the last 6 academic years? I would like this information broken
down by degree programme.
‘Scotland’s most deprived backgrounds’ has been defined as SIMD MD20
applicants.
(Please note: this is different to Scottish fee status)
I trust that this information is helpful. Please let me know if I can be
of further assistance.
Kind regards,
Alan
