Dear Ms Corderoy,

Thank you for your request for information from the University of Dundee. The University does not hold information on monies being offered and rejected per the terms of your request, as distinct from awards for which the University has applied successfully, but that do not proceed for operational reasons or speculative enquiries where no monies are offered.

Colleagues refer you to the University’s policy on the acceptance of research funding -https://www.dundee.ac.uk/media/dundeeweb... which details the parameters normally applied.

Please treat this email as notice per S.17 of FoI(S)A that the information you request in this regard is not held.

The University is aware of one donation being returned in 2014/15 as the University was no longer pursuing the area of research.

You will appreciate that we are unable to provide additional detail on that donation as to do so risks the inadvertent identification of the donor and the inappropriate release of their personal data. As I am sure you will understand the University’s position, I have omitted a full explanation per S.16 and S.38 of FoI(S)A from this email for brevity. However, please let me know if you require that for your records.

I trust that this information is helpful.

Yours sincerely,

Alan Bell
Head of Information Governance
