Dear Freedom of Information,

I was already aware of the original question and the response you directed me to but it did not answer my question. I would like to know if EVER mandatory or discretionary rate relief was asked for and what the response was from St. Hill and the grounds. My request was not limited to ten years but rather whether it had EVER been requested and what the response was. It is important to me to know if any requests were made also before the last ten years and what the response was since this is the headquarters of Scientology in the UK.

Yours sincerely,
Roland Rashleigh-Berry

Dear Mr Rashleigh-Berry,

Thank you for your email. We have consulted with our Council Tax section, who have provided the following.

The notes on the account for Saint Hill Manor show that an application for rate relief was received from them in 1999. It was refused because they are not a registered charity in the UK.

yours sincerely,
