In your internal review request dated 9 August 2023, you raised the
following issues:
 
Dear Islington Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information
reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Islington Borough Council's
handling of my FOI request 'Schools and tube vent shafts'.

Islington council states it doesn't hold the information requested. This
is most certainly impossible since vent shafts need planning permission
from the council.

In addition, the vent shaft located in Highbury fields is located at the
centre of a new playground and recent public toilets have been installed
around it. The council must know if this vent is active or not just for
the simple duty of health and safety considering its location. Not holding
such basic information would be a serious concern.

Specific Issues you raised
 
On receipt of your internal review request, I referred your comments to
the service area who originally answered the request.
 
I can now confirm that the ventilation shaft in Highbury Fields is active
and is a mechanical type.  I apologise that this information was not
previously provided.
 
Decision
 
The final decision of this review is that I uphold your complaint.  You
were informed that information was not held when it was.
