Thank you for your email request for information, which we received by email on 17 October 2022
concerning a Freedom of Information request.
This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
You requested the fol owing details and we have provided our response in bold type, next to the
questions.

How many suppliers do you have a contract with?
One, although we allow all uniform,
with the exception of the tie, to be bought from any high street retailer. There is an
iron on badge available to buy so that plain black blazers can be bought elsewhere.
2)
How was the contract awarded e.g. open competition, direct award? Was the local authority
involved in the tender of this contract?
We approached several suppliers, back in 2018,
the LA was not involved.

Date the contract was awarded?
2018
4)
Date the contract wil expire?
The contract is reviewed annually.
5)
What competitors, if any, were considered?
Two local suppliers and a national supplier.
6)
What criteria was used to select the supplier?
Cost and availability.
7)
Does the school profit from the contract, e.g. as a result of uniform sales? If yes, what
remuneration is received?
The school does not profit from the contract.
8)
If the school has not entered into a contract with the supplier(s), what is the nature of the
agreement in place?
The agreement is that when we choose to end the contract any
unsold stock we will have to pay for.
9)
Does the contract contain any clauses relating to the cost or affordability of items?
Yes, the
supplier knows that they don't have an exclusive and that families can buy from
elsewhere
10)
Please provide a copy of the contract with commercial y sensitive details redacted.
There is
no paper contract in place.
