School supply Spend data 2013/2014

The request was refused by Lewisham Borough Council.

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

Please can you provide me with the 2013/14 school spend
on agency supply staff in the borough of Lewisham from the data
you have available?

I would prefer to receive the information in excel spreadsheet
format, with considerable focus on 2013/14 Primary, Secondary,SEN
and Nursery school spend data including E1-E31 including Capital
expenditure CE01, CE04 and E26, broken down per school.

I would like the information broken down to show the amount spent
on teachers and the amount spent on support staff.

I would also like to have the spend information per school broken
down into which Agency/Company it was spent with.

I would also like to have notification as to whether this borough
has a Preferred Agency Supply List. If so, can you please confirm
which agencies are currently on the Preferred Supply List for your
borough and how to make application to be included on the list. If
the Preferred Supply list for the borough is fixed I would like to
know when this is up for re tender. If individual schools have
their own Preferred Supply List I would also like this information
broken down to see the agencies currently on the preferred list for
each school.

Yours faithfully,

Jamie Aggett

Thank you for your request relating to agency spend in schools.

The Council does not hold the information you requested. Schools in
Lewisham provide aggregate agency spend figures to the Council for
submission to the DfE. This does not include details of the companies paid
or amounts paid. The Council is not the Data Controller for this
information and you will need to contact the DfE for the aggregate data
and the schools for detailed data on individual spends and suppliers.

You have a right of appeal against this response. If you wish to appeal
you must do so in writing to the Corporate Information Manager at the
following address:

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Lewisham Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'School supply Spend data 2013/2014'.

From my understanding all schools provide annual consistent financial reporting to the local authority . This details income and expenditure for individual schools. Field E02 and E26 contains the information that I would like to know in connection with schools expenditure on supply teachers and teachers appointed temporarily through the local authority.

I appreciate that you may not hold the information regarding individual suppliers. I would be grateful if you can provide me with the data requested.

This information has been provided in previous years and requests.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...

Yours faithfully,

Jamie Aggett
