Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request in which you
asked:

Please can you confirm the total spend on third party agencies for the
provision of supply staff by your local authority.

I would like to know the amounts paid by each school/nursery/ and SEND
education provision in the local authority, in relation to temporary
staffing cover (Teachers, Cover Supervisors, Unqualified Teachers,
Teaching Assistants, Nursery Nurses etc). 

The time frames I require are from 1st September 2017 to 31st August 2018
and from 1st September 2018 and 1st October 2018.

Please could you supply this information (in excel) for each school or
Alternative Education Provisions including school name, type of school,
amount spent, and the company this money was paid to.

Please see the attached spreadsheet in response to your enquiry.  Please
note the following:-

·         We can only provide a split between support staff and teachers. 
Further breakdown of Cover Supervisors, Unqualified Teachers, Teaching
Assistants, Nursery Nurses etc will be held at the school.

·         Where the school name is the supplier the schools pay invoices
directly from their chequebook account, so supplier details will only be
available from the school.

·         We have 2 Wirral maintained schools that do not process their
invoices through the LA, Mosslands and Holy Spirit.  Their information
will only be held at school.

·         2 Schools converted to academy during the academic year Town
Lane Infants (June 18 ) and St Joseph's Birkenhead( July 18) so this is
not a full year's worth of supply.
