School library provision to support literacy and reading
Dear St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School, Bristol,
I'd like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
1. What form of school library, if any, does your school provide? Please outline the facilities and services included in the library.
2. Please provide the details of the staffing arrangement in your library. I'd like you to make it clear whether the library is maintained by existing teaching staff, parents, volunteers, pupils or a dedicated school library post.
3. Please provide the minimum requirement to become a school librarian in your school.
4. Please supply the pay grade scale for both professional and supporting staff in your library.
5. Please provide the book / resources fund allocation for the last five years.
6. Please provide a copy of all internal reports on the future of the school library in your school.
7. Please provide a copy of any strategies related to improving literacy at your school.
