Dear City of Edinburgh Council,

How many children starting primary 1, who were resident in the catchment area at the relevant time (by the end of February preceding the start of the School year) have been refused a place in their non-denominational catchment school despite having applied for a place there.

Please could you give me this information for the past 5 years and break these numbers down by school.

Yours faithfully,

Sarah McLuckie
