School catchment areas - Haringey

Simon Briscoe made this Freedom of Information request to Haringey Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Haringey Borough Council,

I would like the information you have about the catchment areas (cut off lines) for Haringey school admissions in the latest year, for primaries and for secondaries. Ideally I would like these plotted on a map, one each for primaries and secondaries. If the map is tricky, a figure for each school showing the distance of the furthest pupil admitted on geography would be fine.

If these are presented to people in or out of the council each year, could you please send me the document, or a link to it. Many thanks.

If the same data for any earlier years is readily available I would that too please.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Briscoe

Dear Mr Briscoe,

Re: Freedom of Information Act Request ref: L BH/2462113

Thank you for your request for information received on 29 November 2013,
in which you asked for the following information:

·         I would like the information you have about the catchment areas
(cut off lines) for Haringey school admissions in the latest year, for
primaries and for secondaries. Ideally I would like these plotted on a
map, one each for primaries and secondaries. If the map is tricky, a
figure for each school showing the distance of the furthest pupil admitted
on geography would be fine.

My response is as follows:

Please find attached the primary and secondary school booklets for
admission to school in September 2014.  These contain the ‘cut off
distances’ for community schools in Haringey for the admission year 2013.
Please refer to page 17 in the primary booklet and page 10 in the
secondary booklet.

We do not routinely generate maps to show these cut off distances but I
attach maps that have previously been generated for specific schools in
the borough.

If you have any further queries, or are unhappy with how we have dealt
with your request and wish to make a complaint, please contact the
Feedback and Information Team as below. (Please note you should do this
