Request 1

 

For following financial years (LA Maintained Schools):

- 2022/23

- 2021/22

- 2020/21

 

Provide a list of spend for each individual LA Maintained school, broken
down as follows:

- capital spend council has spent

- reactive maintenance spend (on buildings)

- planned maintenance spend (on buildings)

 

Request 2

 

Provide detailed legal costs spent, on behalf of each LA maintained
school, which the LA spent during the following financial years:

- 2022/23

- 2021/22

- 2020/21

 

Within analysis provide an overview of nature of legal spend (where not in
relation to individuals), value and whether the costs were recouped from
another body or agent (including amount).

I write further to your request, which was received on 12 April 2023, for
information relating to LA Maintained Schools.  The response from Sandwell
Council follows each question.

Request 1

Provide detailed legal costs spent, on behalf of each LA maintained
school, which the LA spent during the following financial years:

Total costs for all LA maintained schools

- 2022/23 £19,815.80

- 2021/22 £272,835.25

- 2020/21 £108,513.79

 

Within analysis provide an overview of nature of legal spend (where not in
relation to individuals), value and whether the costs were recouped from
another body or agent (including amount).

 

We are unable to provide the information requested as the authority does
not hold information on this basis.
