Dear Herefordshire Council,

Please provide the monthly wage bill for the following departments.

Please include all salaries for all posts within each department in descending order starting with the Director/ Head of department. From January 2013 to the date of this request.

For example-
Director of planning 45,000 x 1
Senior planning officer 29,000 x 6 posts
Administration assistant 12,000 x 3 posts

Please also clarify which posts have line management responsibility and the number of staff to management ratio.

For example 4 Supervisors within department each have line management responsibility for 8 members of staff, 5 full time and 3 part time.

Please include every post that existed within the structure in January 2013. If staff have left or reporting structure has changed stipulate when that change took place and if the post still exists under a different structure.

Please also provide
-the annual budget for each department for staff wages
-the number of agency staff used per department since January 2012- January 2013 and the total cost per department.

Finally please provide staff budget for each depart

Can you please confirm the information I received is accurate. It has come to my attention that the information you have provided may not be accurate. Can you please clarify the management structure for Customer Services?

To assist in your quest I will supply you with some guidance of we're to begin your checks.

I believe there is a Customer Services Manager and an area manager you have excluded from the list? I understand an area manager is on sick leave but still on the payroll and there is definitely a Customer Service manager missing from the information you supplied. I also believe it is possible there are further errors but it is not the responsibility of the public to point out the inaccuracy of your response, since your response should be based on the facts. Please 're-check the information you supplied.

Can you also please amend the figures to reflect the posts you neglected to include and confirm ALL the other figures are correct? It is extremely important the information you supply to the public to whom the authority is accountable is completely accurate.

The figures you have supplied are by my estimate at least 80 thousand below the true figure. Please review all the information supplied and check the accuracy. I would hope there are no further errors that come to my attention since the information you supply in relation to an FOI request should be accurate.

Considering the Council have already admitted that a mistake was made in relation to the Councils accounts prior to the budget further mistakes in your accounting are completely unacceptable. People are currently at risk of redundancy and services are being cut and judging by your response it would appear that the Council still do not understand where the money is going?

I would not expect to wait a further 20 days for the correct information since you have a duty to respond to an FOI within 20 days and you have not complied with that duty if the information is inaccurate.
