Salary and bonus structure of planning department staff
Dear East Devon District Council,
Please could you provide me with details of the various salaries paid to all the positions of your planning department listing their salary and role but not name or any other personel details. Could you also provide details of any bonuses they have received in the last 5 years. Please provide details on how these bonuses are calulated and the steps set by EDDC neccessary for all types of staff to obtain them, if these steps are different for individual roles.
Please also provide details of your processes to monitor costings relating to various cases or investigations within the planning department. Are costs such as travel time and man hours alloted to individual cases? Are cases costings reviewed to access whether they make or loose money? Is this process related to any bonus scheme.

I wish you luck with the FoI, however I expect that EDDC will refuse to provide you with these details because, even though you don't ask for names, it would be possible to collate the positions and names and thus reveal salaries of individuals which is sensitive personal data and exempt from FoI. But you never know...
P.S. On a more general level, I believe that we should be holding politicians and SENIOR officers (such as Ed Freeman for planning) to account, and remember that more junior officers follow orders and are just doing their job.
