Dear FOI Team,

What is the name of the staff member replying to my correspondence?

I require you to address me as Minister Francis not Sir.

The prior questions asked where not answered so here they are again...

I require transparency and full disclosure regarding the following questions I am as king...

Who is responsible and dictates the salaries of the executive branch of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council? What are the full names?

How are the large salary sums justified? When there are so many cuts and council tax rates rising, also people literally living and dying on the streets, how can such excessively high salaries be morally justified? Surely public servants serve the public and not themselves. Public servants should be on national minimum wage as that is what the government says most should be on.

I believe that an independent public enquiry needs to thoroughly investigate this matter as these funds could be used in a far better way to better benefit the many rather than benefiting an extravagantly overpaid few.

I find it unacceptable and most offensive given that most people with family find it hard to make ends meet not in a weekly but a daily basis to keep a roof over they're head and put food in they're childrens bellies. This has to be remedied immediately as the inequality is criminal.

Yours sincerely,

Minister Francis.

FOI Team, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council

Good afternoon,

The response was forwarded to you by the Council’s Freedom of Information Request officers, with the information having been provided by the Head of Legal Services and the Council’s Monitoring Officer, the details of which have been provided previously The information as to whom sets the salaries of the executive branch of the Council is as set out in the link attached to you.

For clarity, the remuneration of the executive branch is determined by the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales, which is an organisation created by the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011. They are an independent body, established by the Welsh Government who have responsibility for setting the salary that executive members (and general members) are able to claim. Upon visiting the website https://gov.wales/independent-remunerati... you will be able to identify the members of the panel and the appropriate contact details.

The Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales provides members of the public the opportunity to comment on the setting of salaries on an annual basis and therefore you may wish to direct such commentary to that organisation and they can be taken into account as part of decision making.

In the event that you are dissatisfied with this response, you may appeal direct to the Information Commissioner, whose address is:

Wycliffe House,
Water Lane,
Wilmslow,
SK9 5AF.

Kind regards

Dear FOI Team,

Again the questions have not been answered

Very suspicious indeed.

Yours sincerely,

Minister Francis.

Dear FOI Team,

Would you not agree that there is great inequality and the salaries aren't morally justifiable?
Do you not have an opinion on these issues or is it simply OK to just tow the line even though you know in your heart and soul there is something very wrong?
If all public servants salaries were capped at £35k annually that would free up billions that could and should be used to benefit the people of this country... Especially the vulnerable and homeless.
Surely you agree? Who of good conscious wouldn't!!!

Yours sincerely,

Minister Francis.
