Salaries and fees
Dear Cardiff University,
I request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:
1) Breakdown of expected salaries, or average salaries for graduates from undergraduate degrees in years 2008/2009 to 2013/2014 included, by subject. If average salaries for recent EU (non-UK) or international (non-EU) graduates are available, I would like those to be shared as well.
2) Tuition fees charged to first-year international students for undergraduate degrees in years 2008/2009 to 2013/2014 included, broken down by subject.
Yours faithfully,
Alexandra Tieghi

Dear Alexandra
I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request dated
05/02/2018 in which you requested information regarding Graduate Salaries
and Undergraduate Tuition Fees.
For ease of reference, I have reproduced your questions below and set out
our corresponding responses.
1) Breakdown of expected salaries, or average salaries for graduates from
undergraduate degrees in years 2008/2009 to 2013/2014 included, by
subject. If average salaries for recent EU (non-UK) or international
(non-EU) graduates are available, I would like those to be shared as well.
2) Tuition fees charged to first-year international students for
undergraduate degrees in years 2008/2009 to 2013/2014 included, broken
down by subject.
In relation to question 1, the University does not collate information on
expected salaries. However the HESA Destinations of Leavers from Higher
Education (DLHE) record has been collected from 1994/95 onwards which may
be of use to you. The DLHE survey collects graduate salary information 6
months after graduating, and the data is available from HESA, the official
agency for the collection, analysis and dissemination of quantitative
information about higher education in the UK, at
[1]https://www.hesa.ac.uk/. Specific information on the DHLE survey can be
found at [2]https://www.hesa.ac.uk/collection/c16018... .
Please note that while high level statistics are readily available from
the HESA website, in order to obtain data at institution level, it might
be necessary to submit a custom data request directly to HESA. Information
about this service including how to make a request is available at
[3]https://www.hesa.ac.uk/services/custom/d... As this information is
already in the public domain and is available from HESA, this information
is reasonably accessible to you by other means and is exempt from
disclosure under section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
HESA is the official agency for the collection, analysis and dissemination
of quantitative information about higher education in the UK and obtaining
this information from HESA will enable you to gather consistent and
comparable data.
In relation to question 2, please find below details of our International
Undergraduate Fees from 2008/09 to 2013/14 inclusive.
