Dear Greenwich Borough Council,

Could you please tell me the following:

a) how much was paid by the applicant (LXP RP (Greenwich 3) Ltd) of the Sainsbury's/M&S development in Charlton (planning ref 12/0835/F) in Section 106 payments to Greenwich Council and other bodies?

b) Could you please outline where the Section 106 payments were allocated to?

c) If possible, could you please outline in which wards of the borough (or specific locations) the payments were spent in?

d) Could you please state how much of each element of the payment has been spent, and how much remains to be spent?

e) Could you outline how much was paid in other payments (such as Crossrail Infrastructure Levy) to Greenwich Council or other bodies through the planning system?

Our response is as follows:-

                

a) how much was paid by the applicant (LXP RP (Greenwich 3) Ltd) of the
Sainsbury's/M&S development in Charlton (planning ref 12/0835/F) in
Section 106 payments to Greenwich Council and other bodies?

 

The sum of £1,484,927 was agreed in contributions through the Section 106
negotiation process.

 

b) Could you please outline where the Section 106 payments were allocated
to?

 

The payments were allocated as follows.  Please note that these amounts
have been adjusted for RPI.

Public Realm £209,202
Public Safety £20,685
Environmental Health £217,307
Bus service enhancements £300,000

           

c) If possible, could you please outline in which wards of the borough (or
specific locations) the payments were spent in?

 

The GLLAB contribution of £150,000 has been spent on Borough-wide training
and employment schemes.  The balance will be spent on the same.

The public safety contribution of £20,685 has been spent on the borough’s
CCTV control room located in Woolwich.

Contributions that remain unspent will be spent on schemes within the
Royal Borough of Greenwich.

 

d) Could you please state how much of each element of the payment has been
spent, and how much remains to be spent?

A Community Infrastructure Levy payment of £449,715 was paid to the
borough, as collecting authority acting on behalf of the Mayor of London.

for an Internal Review.  Internal review requests should be submitted
within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original
request.  If you wish to do this, please contact us, setting out why you

apply directly to the Information Commissioner (ICO) for a decision. 
Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the
Internal Review procedure provided by the Council.
