Safety of Dorset residents

Gerald Rigler made this Freedom of Information request to Dorset County Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Dorset County Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Dorset County Council,

Previously I asked why the Council had not referred the proposed hospital plans (made by Dorset CCG) to the Minister since the safety of Dorset residents appears to be involved if relevant risks have not been properly appraised by suitably qualified and informed clinicians : the recent judicial review refers. The response received ignored the point about the future safety of the population in Dorset being compromised. Would you please tell me why the Council has no interest in fostering / ensuring the provision of an adequate infrastructure in Dorset that will be a reasonable support for life and living : one that is not worse than that which currently exists.

Yours faithfully,

Gerald Rigler

Dear Mr Rigler,

I am writing further to your email below.

As the question you have asked is not requesting factual information that is recorded and held by the Council, it is not a valid question under the Freedom of Information Act. What we can say is that our previous response still stands; Dorset County Council has no responsibility for hospitals or involvement in the proposed plans, nor is Dorset CCG accountable to us.

With regards to your statement that we have 'ignored the point about the future safety of the population', this point was not addressed in your previous email dated 27th September; please find it attached for reference.

Yours sincerely,

Freedom of Information Team
Dorset County Council
