Safety Concerns with Boxing Day Hunt Meet
Dear Dorset Police,
Please would you answer the following questions. The questions relate to the permanent cancellation of the Portman's Boxing Day Hunt meeting in Blandford.
1) What was the date of the SAG meeting between the Portman Hunt and the police?
2) What recommendations did the police make to the Portman Hunt to ensure the safety of protestors and hunt members?
3) If the date of the meeting was before 26th December 2019, and the hunt have now said that they are not willing to accept the recommendations, why was the Boxing Day Meet allowed to go ahead in 2019?
4) Blandford Town Council warned police of potential trouble between two opposing sides during the public meet. Was it because of this warning that police took responsibility for the safety of the public and understood that they were liable for any incidents?
4) Was another SAG meeting held after 26th December 2019?
Yours faithfully,
Pip Donovan
